Melinda experiences a sense of intuition when she realizes that a plane is going to crash when the spirits of the pilot and flight attendant contact her. A routine estate sale lands Melinda in the center of dark forces battling for the soul of a little girl who's been trapped in a violently haunted house for years. Find out what critically acclaimed shows and highly anticipated movie the Spider-Man: Far from Home star has on her Watchlist. Watch now. Title: Ghost Whisperer — Melinda Gordon inherited her "gift" - the ability to see and talk with the spirits of dead people - from, and was coached in its use by her grandmother.
Running an antique store in a small town, newly married to a paramedic, Melinda helps the ghosts wandering around who are trapped between worlds by helping them to resolve unfulfilled aspects of their former life. And so it ends, and what an ending. Melinda must deal with a veritable army of ghost children haunting the local hospital. In its prime, GW was must-see TV. Some episodes were scary, some were creepy and some were downright weepy.

For the most part, they worked. The show took a wrong turn, however, when Melinda's husband dies and is immediately resurrected in another man's body what was that all about, a salary dispute, perhaps?
Then Jay Mohr as Melinda's college prof buddy left the show and was replaced by Jamie Kennedy, Hewitt's beau at the time. He was a poor substitute for Mohr, and the show then went from bad to worse with the introduction of a child actor playing Melinda's son. While each tale is unique and the themes vary greatly, all of them have one thing in common I enjoyed this collection and highly recommend it.
Although there weren't as many ghost stories as I was hoping to find, this is still a good collection of short stories to read on a rainy October day. They're written well, held my interest, and will get you in the mood for Halloween. I really loved these stories. All are well written and easy reads. Technically the first one is my favorite, but plan on reading ALL of these a few more times to get me ready for Halloween and fall for years to come.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. The author tells a story so well you are instantly drawn in to it. Her characters are alive and interesting, with all the quirks of being human, as they come alive on the page. I enjoyed every story in this collection and look forward to reading more from this author. These are warm-hearted stories from an author who knows how to tell an interesting tale. The collection contains a wide variety of themes and moods, even though the "ghost" thread links the stories together. Some are very light and amusing, even a little silly. Others are more thoughtful explorations of human motivation and behaviour, but still with a light touch and a gentle wit.
Alvis, who authored Haunted Discoveries, said there are many cases of near-death experiences that can be explained by a lack of oxygen to the brain. He added: "We also believe that people frequenting abandoned buildings with large amounts of mould and other hazardous elements can trigger cerebral anoxia, be that in a small or large scale. Evidence from a research group led by Olaf Blanke shows the brain can trick people into feeling the "presence" of a ghostly apparition.
Carbon monoxide is odourless and colourless and is produced when you have a gas leak in your home. The long term effects of breathing in the toxic substance can affect memory, brain function, behaviour and cognition. In an interview with radio show This American Life , toxicologist Albert Donnay said: "Carbon monoxide poisoning can cause all manner of hallucinations- audio, visual, feeling strange things on their skin when there was nothing there. Apparitions, cold spots and ghostly touches can be caused by man-made magnetic fields, experts have suggested.
Electrical devices such as appliances, power lines, or even batteries all have an electromagnetic fields.
